Jim lives in Southeast Kansas with his wife, Sherlene. He has three children and several grandchildren all of which live in Kansas also.
He is a highly-decorated Viet Nam vet with a Silver Star, Bronze Star and Purple Heart to his credit. He loves to write and can keep the reader mesmerized in a diverse genre. He grew up telling stories in the mountains of California around campfires and hunting trails. He has been shot, stabbed and bombed and still carries shrapnel in his lungs, chest and shoulders, so he knows how it feels when a bullet or knife enters the body and can let the reader feel that sensation.
He truly does put you into the action of each book.

ONE SOLDIER'S STORY: A TRUE STORY OF A SOLDIER'S TOUR IN VIETNAM
I was eighteen years old the first time I saw combat and the men with me were about the same age, eighteen or nineteen years old. They came from towns and cities in California, Georgia, Texas and a hundred other places. Most or all of them carried their hopes, their dreams and their lives in the small metal boxes the ammo came in. Letters from home and pictures of the families they left behind. Little did we know they were memories of a world we would never return to.If I had told the whole story, no one would have believed me, but it was a lot worse than I have portrayed it. I didn’t want to write a blood and guts book, or one that centered on me, but a book to let you know that what you see on in television movies is not what we saw in person!
